Biography
Frank Wright was an American free-jazz tenor saxophonist from Mississippi, a follower of *Albert Ayler* who recorded for #ESP-Disk# in New York before settling in Paris in 1969. There he co-founded *Center of the World* and made a series of fiery albums for European labels. His gospel-charged playing made him a key figure of the expatriate free-jazz scene.
