Album Notes & Community Reviews

Posthumously released from a 1974 performance at the Moers Festival, this recording features the tenor saxophonist delivering a masterclass in extreme free-jazz energy. The set captures the raw power and chaotic density of his 'Unity' ensemble, illustrating the fierce, unyielding intensity that characterized the second wave of American free improvisation.
