Album Notes & Community Reviews

Accompanied by the Hunter's Chapel Singers, the legendary slide guitarist applies his hypnotic, driving Mississippi Hill Country style to traditional religious material. The raw, communal energy of the vocal responses juxtaposed with the jagged electric instrumentation creates an intensely powerful devotional atmosphere.
