Formed by former members of Procol Harum, the band's final studio effort abandons their earlier psychedelic leanings for a heavy, straightforward approach to British blues rock. 'Freedom Is More Than a Word' features muscular guitar riffing and a dense, driving rhythm section characteristic of the era's heavy rock explosion. Despite strong musicianship, the group disbanded shortly after its release, leaving behind a solid catalog of heavy blues.
