Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed as an offshoot by members of Giant Sand, this entirely instrumental collective expertly conjures the desolate, highly cinematic atmosphere of the American Southwest. 'The Shadow of Your Smile' heavily blends twangy surf-rock guitars with mariachi instrumentation and sprawling, spaghetti-western Americana. The record operates as a wonderfully evocative, purely instrumental desert lounge experience.
