The Sleep of Morbid Dreams

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning after an eight-year gap between albums, the New York quintet delivers an absolute masterclass in filthy, old-school death metal. Shunning modern technicality for pure, cavernous atmosphere, the record utilizes incredibly low, guttural vocals and sludgy, doom-laden riffs heavily indebted to early Finnish and Swedish extreme metal. It is widely revered within the underground as a flawless homage to the genre's primitive roots.
