Ending a six-year silence following their landmark debut, Arioch (also known as Mortuus of Marduk) resurrects his solo project for an incredibly punishing, conceptually dense black metal assault. The album brilliantly splices hyper-aggressive blast beats and orthodox tremolo riffing with terrifying monastic choir samples, Gregorian chants, and deeply blasphemous audio clips. It firmly established the project as a singular, horrifying pillar of orthodox black metal.
