Album Notes & Community Reviews

Expanding upon his growing reputation in the European avant-garde scene, the Argentine saxophonist here began to fuse his free-jazz instincts with the traditional rhythmic structures of his homeland. The resulting music is remarkably warm, muscular, and emotionally charged, featuring a tight rhythm section supporting his characteristic gritty tone and impassioned phrasing. It represents a vital synthesis of Latin-American folk elements with sophisticated post-bop sensibilities.
