Album Notes & Community Reviews
Fleeing the political violence of Idi Amin's regime in Uganda, the singer and multi-instrumentalist found sanctuary in France where he recorded this deeply moving debut. Produced by Brian Eno, the album surrounds traditional Acholi melodies and lukeme (thumb piano) with incredibly subtle, atmospheric new age textures.
