Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking George Benson's continued foray into lush commercial territory, 'Livin' Inside Your Love' merges his fluid guitar work with heavily orchestrated quiet storm arrangements. The double LP acts as a definitive statement of late-seventies smooth jazz, successfully pivoting away from hard bop toward expansive, vocal-heavy pop crossover. It further solidified his status as a dominant, highly accessible force in mainstream R&B.
