Album Notes & Community Reviews

Introducing Tobias Forge's new frontman persona, 'Cardinal Copia', the highly theatrical Swedish rock band embraced incredibly polished, stadium-ready 1980s pop-metal. The conceptually driven album focuses heavily on themes surrounding the Black Death and medieval plagues, contrasting grim lyrics with massively triumphant, saxophone-laced arena rock hooks. It became a massive commercial breakthrough, earning two Grammy nominations and cementing their arena status.
