"Luciferian Towers"

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Luciferian Towers' frames the band's signature, densely layered post-rock within an overtly political context, trading some of their earlier work's bleaker tones for compositions that are notably melodic and affirmative. The album's movements build from droning textures to soaring, major-key crescendos, utilizing the group's expansive instrumentation of multiple guitars, dual drummers, and strings, which are further augmented by the inclusion of brass and flute. This sound palette serves to underscore the radical, hopeful demands for societal change that accompanied the album's release.
