Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Godspeed You! Black Emperor is an influential Canadian instrumental collective formed in Montreal in 1994. Renowned for their long, orchestral post-rock compositions, the group's sound merges ambient textures, drone, and climactic rock. Their politically charged ethos is reflected in their music, live film projections, and album art, released primarily through the independent label #Constellation Records#. After releasing seminal albums like 'F♯ A♯ ∞' and 'Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven', the band went on hiatus in 2003. They reformed in 2010, resuming their extensive touring and recording, continuing to be a major force in experimental music.
