Produced by Pink Floyd's Nick Mason following the critical departure of founding visionary Daevid Allen, Gong seamlessly transitioned into a wildly inventive, percussion-heavy world fusion ensemble. 'Shamal' is an incredibly rhythmic, delightfully eclectic Canterbury Scene classic, balancing beautifully warm, highly playful jazz-rock with complex, deeply surreal progressive psychedelia.
