You

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Evolving rapidly from their D.C. hardcore origins, the John Stabb-led outfit fully embraced melodic post-hardcore structures on this acclaimed release. 'You' features highly dynamic, jangling guitar work and emotionally vulnerable songwriting, heavily anticipating the alternative rock explosion. The record remains a pivotal document of the transitional phase between 1980s hardcore and 1990s emo.
