Conceptualized by producer Trevor Horn, this highly unorthodox project functions entirely as a series of radical variations and interpolations of a single title track. 'Slave to the Rhythm' splices Jones's vocals and rhythmic chanting with snippets of a recorded interview and sprawling, opulent synth-funk orchestrations.
