Album Notes & Community Reviews

Packaged famously in a circular, silver foil sleeve meant to resemble a giant coin, the Michigan trio's fifth studio album is a powerhouse of arena-ready heavy rock. Boasting a remarkably thick, bass-heavy mix, Mark Farner's blistering guitar work and surprisingly political songwriting anchor massive hits like 'Footstompin' Music'. It was an enormous commercial success, capping their reign as America's loudest and most popular hard rock act of the early 70s.
