Biography
Grand Funk Railroad is a hard rock band from Flint, Michigan, formed in 1969 by Mark Farner, Don Brewer and Mel Schacher. Their muscular blues-rock produced era-defining hits including 'We're an American Band' and 'The Loco-Motion', plus a run of gold and platinum albums in the early 1970s. After splitting in 1976 and several reunions, Brewer and Schacher have kept the band touring since 2000.
