Album Notes & Community Reviews

Philadelphia songwriter Greg Mendez presents 'Beauty Land', his intimate and highly anticipated debut LP for Dead Oceans. Recorded almost entirely alone on magnetic tape in a small, windowless home studio, the fourteen-track collection plumbs themes of grief and addiction through delicate, choirboy-innocent vocals and short, economic acoustic arrangements like the broken-clock march of 'I Wanna Feel Pretty'.
