Biography
Greg Mendez is a singer-songwriter from Philadelphia known for his lo-fi, intimate, and emotionally direct music. Though born outside Boston and raised in New Jersey, he became a fixture in Philly's DIY scene, honing a sound that draws comparisons to artists like *Elliott Smith* for its sparse instrumentation and cutting honesty. After years of self-releasing music, he gained wider recognition with his 2023 self-titled album, 'Greg Mendez'. His work, released on labels including #Forged Artifacts#, #Devil Town Tapes#, and later #Dead Oceans#, explores themes of addiction, trauma, and love with a distinctive, understated urgency, as heard on his 2026 follow-up, 'Beauty Land'.
