Album Notes & Community Reviews
Part one of a two-part collection of long-form instrumental pieces, originally released on cassette. This album showcases the more abstract and purely textural side of Grouper's work, moving away from vocals to focus on immense, slowly shifting drones. The compositions are built from organ, tape loops, and field recordings, creating a somber and deeply meditative soundscape.
