Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as their sole full-length release of 2024—a rarity given Robert Pollard's notoriously prolific output—'Strut of Kings' showcases the tight musical interplay of the modern Guided by Voices lineup. The album emphasizes robust, guitar-driven indie rock structures peppered with eccentric lyrical abstractions, maintaining the veteran band's late-career momentum through muscular hard rock and power pop sensibilities.
