Album Notes & Community Reviews

Guided by drummer Mani Neumeier, the legendary German ensemble's fourth studio album marks a slight departure from their completely unhinged free-rock origins toward more structured, groove-oriented Krautrock. The introduction of traditional song formats and tongue-in-cheek humor is balanced by their characteristic heavy, sprawling instrumental jams and bizarre tape experiments. The recording highlights a transitional period where avant-garde sensibilities met bizarre, eccentric pop structures.
