Biography
Guru Guru is a German krautrock band formed in Heidelberg in 1968 by drummer Mani Neumeier, bassist Uli Trepte and guitarist Eddy Naegeli, with Ax Genrich soon completing the classic line-up. Their early albums mixed psychedelic rock, free jazz and improvisation, and their commune living and left-wing stage provocations made them krautrock legends. Neumeier remains the only constant member across more than forty albums, with bassist Peter Kühmstedt and multi-instrumentalist Roland Schaeffer in the current line-up.
