Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking a distinct shift from their early, sprawling psychedelic jams, 'Hey du' finds the German pioneers injecting heavy funk and cosmic disco into their Krautrock foundation. The production features prominent slap bass and satirical, culturally observant German lyricism, reflecting the band's penchant for theatrical humor. It captures a fascinating transitional phase for the group as they navigated the shifting musical trends of the late seventies.
