Album Notes & Community Reviews

This esteemed Deutsche Grammophon release pairs two of Gustav Mahler's most emotionally staggering works. The recording flawlessly contrasts the triumphant, complex orchestration of the Fifth Symphony with the devastating, deeply melancholic song cycle 'Kindertotenlieder'.
