Album Notes & Community Reviews

Twenty-one monks of Gyuto Monastery recorded these tantric chants at Skywalker Ranch under producer Mickey Hart, and the program adds '#2 for Gaia', a piece by Philip Glass, Mickey Hart and Kitaro recorded at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The album documents the monastery's multiphonic chanting, in which each monk sustains multiple pitches at once.
