Album Notes & Community Reviews

Now celebrating over twenty years together as a working duo, Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson present a monumental new ambient post-rock album, 'The Second Coming Was a Moonrise'. Released via their own Hammock Music label and co-produced alongside Emery Dobyns, the ten-track record explores themes of letting go, spiritual reflection, and finding beauty in the natural world. The vast, shimmering compositions rely on swelling guitar drones, orchestral strings arranged by Matt Kidd (Slow Meadow), and a special guest appearance by Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips.
