Album Notes & Community Reviews

The eponymous debut from the Austrian duo immediately established their distinct fusion of depressive black metal and expansive post-rock melodies. Driven by M.S.'s dynamic, tremolo-heavy guitar work and J.J.'s impassioned, tortured shrieks, the compositions are sprawling and highly emotional. It laid the crucial groundwork for their eventual ascent to the upper echelons of the European post-black metal movement.
