Biography
Harakiri for the Sky is an Austrian post-black-metal duo from Salzburg and Vienna, formed in 2011 by vocalist J. J. (Michael Kogler) and multi-instrumentalist Matthias Sollak. Their six studio albums for #AOP Records#, from 'Harakiri for the Sky' (2012) to 'Scorched Earth' (2025), fuse black metal intensity with post-rock melancholy. The band was nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award in 2017.
