Album Notes & Community Reviews

Austrian duo Harakiri for the Sky's sixth full-length album, 'Scorched Earth', further cements their position in the vanguard of post-black metal. The record blends the raw, aggressive energy of black metal with the sweeping, emotive melodies of post-rock and shoegaze. Featuring intricate guitar work and the despairing vocals of J.J., the album explores themes of alienation, loss, and existential dread through long-form, atmospheric compositions.
