Album Notes & Community Reviews

Harold Budd strips away the pastoral warmth of his previous ambient works to construct a profoundly lonely, dark ambient drone record. 'Abandoned Cities' utilizes minimal synthesizer swells to evoke a chilling, apocalyptic atmosphere completely devoid of traditional melody or rhythm.
