Album Notes & Community Reviews

Constructed almost entirely by overdubbing his own performances, the French acoustic bassist weaves a mesmerizing tapestry of global influences. The album seamlessly blends Celtic melodic motifs with North African rhythms and deep, spiritual jazz sensibilities, utilizing bass, oud, flute, and wordless vocals. Long considered an obscure cult classic, its profoundly unique, hypnotic grooves have found massive renewed appreciation among modern jazz and beat collectors.
