Album Notes & Community Reviews

Known commonly as the 'Symphony of Sorrowful Songs', this 1992 recording brought G贸recki's deeply melancholic holy minimalism to an unprecedented global audience. The piece is overwhelmingly sad and atmospheric, featuring a lone soprano soaring over incredibly slow, passionate, and ethereal string orchestrations.
