Album Notes & Community Reviews

The highly influential West Coast underground collective regroups for a sprawling exhibition of complex wordplay and laid-back, sample-driven production. The MCs fluidly exchange highly literate, abstract verses, balancing deeply conscious themes with playful braggadocio. The release solidified their independent legacy and continued to champion an alternative to the era's dominant gangsta rap narratives.
