Pitting the devastatingly heavy guitar of Tony Hill against Simon House's manic, intensely distorted violin, High Tide created a profoundly dark masterpiece of early hard rock. 'Sea Shanties' is an incredibly heavy, fiercely aggressive proto-metal record, filled with wonderfully noisy, wildly progressive instrumental duels and deeply dense psychedelic grit.
