Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Finnish outfit's debut album effectively established the blueprint for their self-described 'love metal' subgenre. Ville Valo's baritone croon and the deeply romantic, gothic rock aesthetics are heavily contrasted by crushing alternative metal riffs and a memorable, gloomy cover of Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game'.
