Album Notes & Community Reviews

Doug Scharin expands his highly fluid instrumental collective, completely immersing their post-rock foundation into deeply hypnotic Afrobeat and Latin jazz rhythms. The groove-centric compositions feature extensive percussion, soaring horn sections, and subtly dub-inflected basslines. It operates as a warm, polyrhythmic alternative to the typically cold, guitar-driven post-rock landscape of the era.
