Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originating from Palermo, the highly idiosyncratic ensemble Homunculus Res continues to revive the whimsical, jazz-inflected spirit of the 1970s Canterbury Scene. 'Ecco l'impero dei doppi sensi' is awash with vintage electric pianos, complex vocal harmonies, and dizzying, start-stop time signatures. The Italian progressive rock outfit masterfully balances supreme technical proficiency with an incredibly playful and joyous atmosphere.
