Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fronted by Karin Dreijer prior to her massive success with The Knife, this sophomore album perfectly captures her uniquely piercing, highly idiosyncratic vocal style. The band creates a surprisingly dark, deeply melancholic atmosphere, burying notably catchy indie pop melodies beneath layers of dissonant noise rock and ethereal shoegaze distortion.
