Album Notes & Community Reviews

Launching a celebrated series of unaccompanied solo piano recordings, the Los Angeles jazz luminary delivered a profoundly intimate and technically brilliant set. The session captures Tapscott's expansive harmonic vocabulary and deep connection to the African American musical continuum, unbound by the constraints of his usual Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra. It is a masterful, deeply emotional showcase of his unique compositional voice.
