Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking a highly sophisticated evolution of their independent tape series, 'Mixtape IV' meticulously weaves algorithmic process music with live, improvisational outbursts. The record notably incorporates spoken word passages and avant-garde jazz inflections, layering them over hypnotic, repeating post-minimalist rhythmic figures. It highlights the group's mastery of maintaining kinetic energy through complex, rigorously calculated structural parameters.
