Album Notes & Community Reviews

Blending his surrealist, often dark poetic sensibilities with increasingly modern, synthesized rock arrangements, the enigmatic French songwriter achieved a significant commercial breakthrough with this record. The lyrical content is notoriously cryptic, exploring themes of drug addiction, sensuality, and urban alienation. 'Soleil cherche futur' successfully elevated Thi茅faine from an underground cult figure to a prominent, enduring voice in contemporary French rock.
