Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Electra 2000', Hum establishes its foundational sound, a raw and heavy form of alternative rock characterized by aggressive, sizzling guitars and a powerful rhythm section. Produced by Brad Wood, the album captures the band's intense energy and dynamic extremes, from near-metal riffing and impassioned growls to more melodic, conversational vocals from Matt Talbott. This release serves as a crucial groundwork for the band's classic lineup, showcasing a direct and relentless attack that precedes the more atmospheric and nuanced compositions of their later work.
