Album Notes & Community Reviews
With former Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson temporarily joining the Blockheads' lineup, Ian Dury delivered a slightly more subdued, deeply introspective follow-up to his previous smash hits. 'Laughter' retains the band's signature fusion of funk, music hall, and pub rock, but serves as a darker lyrical exploration of Dury's personal struggles with depression and alcoholism.
