Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recording in the Bahamas without his usual backing band, The Blockheads, Ian Dury enlisted the legendary reggae rhythm section of Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare. 'Lord Upminster' infuses Dury's trademark Cockney wordplay and new wave sensibilities with deep, syncopated funk and dub-heavy grooves.
