Album Notes & Community Reviews

A spectacularly unique pillar of the British new wave, Ian Dury's debut is a wildly eccentric, fiercely energetic blend of dirty funk, pub rock, and cheeky cockney music-hall traditions. 'New Boots and Panties!!' relies on Dury's brilliantly humorous, famously vulgar vocal delivery to craft incredibly playful, delightfully rebellious sketches of sleazy urban life.
