Album Notes & Community Reviews

This single track album presents Xenakis's electroacoustic tape work whole: a 46 minute construction premiered inside his Diatope installation at the Centre Pompidou, with eleven loudspeakers, laser columns and 1,600 strobe lights. It was the first Xenakis work built with his stochastic synthesis method on an early form of the UPIC system, layering African and Japanese instruments and noises processed at the WDR studios in Cologne.
