Iceage abandons the breakneck hardcore of their youth for a drunken, swaggering art-punk sound on 'Plowing Into the Field of Love'. The album incorporates piano, horns, and acoustic guitars, creating a shambolic grandeur reminiscent of The Birthday Party or The Pogues. Elias Bender Rønnenfelt's slurred, poetic vocals lead the band through tales of youthful arrogance and existential despair.
