Album Notes & Community Reviews
Celebrating a half-century of musical boundary pushing, veteran saxophonist Idris Ackamoor leads his ensemble through the sprawling, socially conscious 'Afro Futuristic Dreams'. The record incorporates full orchestral arrangements, polyrhythmic Afrobeat percussion, and profound spiritual jazz improvisation. It serves as both a retrospective of Ackamoor's legacy and a visionary, uplifting statement on global politics and Black futurity.
